Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) is a treatment involving a specialized chamber where pressure and pure oxygen will be supplied, which can influence inflammation, oxidative stress, cortisol, and melatonin, which may influence sleep quality. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to identify if there is a significant and positive correlation between hyperbaric oxygen therapy and sleep quality. In this study, participants’ sleep quality is assessed by Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index before and after undergoing HBOT treatment. The participants are also divided into 5 groups based on the number of HBOT treatment that they have undergone. The result of this study is that there is a significant positive correlation between hyperbaric oxygen therapy and sleep quality (p-value<0.001), along with sleep quantity (p-value<0.001). And subjects can acquire the best sleep quality after more than 41 hyperbaric oxygen therapy at 3 ATA (p-value <0.07).</p> <p>Keywords: Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy; Sleep Quality; Sleep Quantity; PSQI</p> </div> </div> </div>2024-06-25T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2024 Liaison Journal of Engineeringhttps://ojs.iuli.ac.id/index.php/eng/article/view/116Effects of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy on Hypertensive Patients2024-06-25T16:31:16+07:00roderick chandraroderick.chandra@stud.iuli.ac.idevelyn djiuardievelyn.djiuardi@iuli.ac.idpatmah fatonipatmah.fatoni@iuli.ac.id<div class="page" title="Page 1"> <div class="layoutArea"> <div class="column"> <p>The scope of this research is to determine the affect of hyperbaric oxygen therapy to patients of Asyifa hyperbaric clinic that suffers from hypertension. There are 20 participants participate thisresearch with the range of their age between 31-76 years old, along with various kind of sleep duration in between 5,5 – 10 hours of sleep. Some of the patients took medicine for hypertension or any other disease that related to the other disease. Participants of Asyifa Hyperbaric Clinic that participate this research have done at least 5 times of conducting hyperbaric oxygen therapy. This research will involve of using statistical packages for social science program (SPSS) The results of paired t test shows that the N value are the correlation on blood tension systole shows 0.951, while the correlation on blood tension diastole shows 0.916. If the correlation value is closeto 1,000 then it shows that there is a correlation effect of hyperbaric oxygen therapy on hypertension. This shows that HBOT does affecting patients that has hypertension and it helps lowering down high blood pressure.</p> <p>Keywords: Hypertension, Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy, Liaison Journal of Engineering; International University Liaison Indonesia</p> </div> </div> </div>2024-06-25T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2024 Liaison Journal of Engineeringhttps://ojs.iuli.ac.id/index.php/eng/article/view/117Sistem Pendukung Keputusan Pemberian Bonus Karyawan Menggunakan Metode Analytical Hierarchy Process (Ahp) Dan SimpleAdditive Weighting (Saw)2024-06-26T10:02:06+07:00bagas setiyaki wicaksonodosen00674@unpam.ac.idbudi apriyantodosen00628@unpam.ac.id<div class="page" title="Page 1"> <div class="layoutArea"> <div class="column"> <p>Kalava Studio is an Information Technology company that is experiencing problems in the process of giving employee bonuses because manual calculations are time consuming and risky of errors. Employees are considered a key factor in a company's progress, and bonuses are an important incentive to improve their performance. Therefore, this research proposes the development of a decision support system (DSS) using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) methods to facilitate decision making regarding employee bonuses. This research involves three employee performance evaluation criteria, namely work results, attendance, and diligence. In a similar manner to enhancing fire resistance in composite sandwich panels, which aims to strengthen against potential dangers, our investigation concentrates on enhancing the reliability of Sportirena's application. We have developed customized automation tools, comparable to the addition of fire retardants, utilizing Selenium, with a specific focus on user authentication. The results demonstrate significant improvements in testing efficiency, coverage, and defect detection when compared to manual techniques. The insights obtained from existing literature support our findings and validate the chosen methodology. When designing equipment, understanding flowability of solid material becoming crucial point to maintain effectiveness of the equipment. Angle of repose is one of the oldest method to determine flowability of solid material. From several different method to measure angle of repose, tilting table method was chosen as the basis for this equipment design. Lego structure basis was chosen to modernized method for angle of repose measurement. For the experiment, 2 different materials were chosen: coriander seeds and cement powder. These 2 materials were chosen due to their different flowability properties to ensure the effectiveness of the designed equipment. From the measurement result, average angle of repost for coriander seed was 19.30 and 32.6o for cement powder. Based on these results, the percentage of error for angle of repost measurement using lego tilted structure equipment is between 6 until 20% which is in an acceptable level. This showed that the design of the equipment was a success and can be used to determine angle of repose of solid material.</p> <p>Keywords: Angle of repose, Flowability, Solid material, Lego, Solid properties</p> </div> </div> </div>2024-06-25T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2024 Liaison Journal of Engineering
