Abstract

. Abnormal behavior of children is an action that can be learned from the activities carried out by children that can affect the person and the surrounding environment. Children's behavior problems are often ignored by parents due to ignorance and the high cost if they have to consult a psychologist or pediatrician. The development of children in terms of this spikologi really need a quick and appropriate treatment. In this research activity, the application of the Dempster-Shafer method to detect children's mental illness based on the calculation of the child's symptoms. Symptoms will have a value of zero indicating that there is no disturbance, but if it is worth one, it means that there is a disturbance. The results of this study are a system that helps detect the type of disorder based on a large presentation value whether there is an abnormal behavior disorder. Proving the diagnosis requires comparison with a knowledge database with the help of a forward chaining inference model. The knowledge database will provide a reference for actions that can be applied to solutions for handling children with mental disorders. This expert system can be applied to diagnose abnormal mental disorders in children based on the percentage of detecting success with a value of 83 percent according to a psychiatrist's analysis..
