This paper explores the development and introduction of a novel vegan sausage into the Indonesian market. Utilizing locally sourced tofu as the primary ingredient, this sausage aims to cater to the growing demand for plant-based alternatives while addressing sustainability concerns within the food industry. Incorporating a taste enhancer from the Korean company, Cheil Jedang Food & Nutrition Technology (CJ FNT), which initiated this endeavor as a competitive challenge, enhances the flavor profile of the sausage, making it appealing to a wide range of consumers. Through a combination of market analysis, nutritional evaluation, and sensory testing, this paper examines the feasibility and potential impact of introducing such a product in Indonesia. By highlighting the benefits of plant-based diets for both personal health and environmental sustainability, this study contributes to the promotion of sustainable food practices in emerging markets

Keywords: plant based food, sausage, sustainability, food industry
ivan joe, shiftra marie, marta bartels, aditya nova putra, siti nurfitriana, niken taufiqurrahmi listyorini Copyright (c) 2024 LIAISON JOURNAL OF BEST https://ojs.iuli.ac.id/index.php/best/article/view/123 Thu, 25 Jul 2024 00:00:00 +0700 The Influence of Service and Facilities on Guests’ Interest at Padma Hotel Semarang https://ojs.iuli.ac.id/index.php/best/article/view/124

This study investigates the influence of service quality and facilities on guests' interest in Padma Hotel Semarang. This has put Unilever on top of the FMCG market. It is proven by the respondents answer that Unilever is also some of the respondent favorite brand when they go their regular convenient store. Even though the quality of Unilever’s product is un-doubly high quality, Unilever doesn’t put a very high price tag for their products, hence another reason why Unilever is the respondents’ top choice when they go to their local convenient store or supermarket. Indonesia even ranks among the 10 counties with the highest prevalence of child marriage. As such, addressing this issue is important, particularly in fulfilling Indonesia’s commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This thesis explores the cooperation between Plan Indonesia and the local government of Sukabumi and West Lombok through the Gema Cita program, which aims to combat child marriage. The study uses the theories of liberal institutionalism and international regimes to explore the strategies, challenges, and impact of this cooperation and how it fulfills the SDGs, particularly Target 5.3. The study used a qualitative case study approach and gathered primary and secondary data. The result shows that the SDGs, as an international regime, shape Indonesia’s national policies and local initiatives such as Gema Cita in addressing child marriage. Gema Cita’s strategy includes a comprehensive approach that effectively engages adolescents, schools, and communities to create sustainable effort against child marriage. The program’s strategy also aligns closely with Indonesia’s National Strategy on the Prevention of Child Marriage (STRANAS PPA). Despite facing various challenges, such as low awareness of child marriage and lack of support in the community, the program demonstrated effectiveness in raising awareness, support, and influencing policy changes in the areas. The roles and responsibilities of Plan Indonesia and the local government contribute to the program’s success. Plan Indonesia’s focus on capacity building, advocacy, and evaluating complements the local government’s role in formalizing agreements, enforcing policies, and coordinating efforts. The findings suggest that such cooperation is important for child marriage prevention program like Gema Cita.

Keywords: Gema Cita, Plan Indonesia, child marriage, local government cooperation, sustainable development goals (SDGs)
kezia andjanie grisella, indra v.a. krishnamurti, cecep indra surawijaya Copyright (c) 2024 LIAISON JOURNAL OF BEST https://ojs.iuli.ac.id/index.php/best/article/view/127 Thu, 25 Jul 2024 00:00:00 +0700
